Do you have good teamwork skills and like helping others? Clothing Pool Volunteers will assist with the operation of the Clothing Pool at our Centre. This role involves unpacking and sorting donated clothing according to a set of guidelines, including sorting according to size and season. Packaging clothing and delivering items and packs to the Centre via a trolley from the Volunteer Office. Reviewing and maintaining stock levels, including assisting with targeted appeals for donations.

Local aged care facility is looking for people to engage with people living with dementia to potter in the gardens, water and tend to the variety of plants. Your passion for and interest in the care and welfare of our native fauna, particularly reptiles, are a must for this role. Assist in caring for our native wildlife display creatures, helping to feed, clean and maintain their environment. Opportunity to assist with reptile encounters if you’re interested. Animal Carers are needed for approximately 3 to 4 hours a week on Wednesday or Sunday mornings.

Use your skills to assist in the repair and maintenance of all onsite mechanical buggies and equipment such as mowers and whipper snippers. Tasks include basic maintenance handyman tasks, performing minor repairs and keeping the workshop organised, improving the workspace setup, and ensuring equipment is clean and properly stored after use.

If you enjoy working outdoors, as part of a team, and have some handyperson skills, then you'll be well suited for this role. A natural aptitude and the physical ability to carry out minor maintenance work are needed as you will be taking care of boardwalks and buildings. Tasks will include general minor repairs to infrastructure. This role will primarily be need on Mondays and Tuesdays, but times are flexible (half or full day).

Lead a team of outdoor workers with maintenance of the grounds and the surrounds of the Centre in weeding, mulching, planting and watering. An interest in plants & experience with native vegetation is required . A love of working outdoors and a strong teamwork ethic is necessary for the position. Hours are flexible, as are days of the week.

We are looking for a motivated person to assist in the cleaning of the Visitor Centre. This is a most important role as entry to our site is via the Visitor Centre so first impressions are most important to us. The duties include cleaning, vacuuming, rubbish disposal, attending to toilets and other weekly and monthly cleaning tasks as required. A cleaner is required on weekdays on Monday, Wednesday or Friday for half a day or Saturday afternoon or Sunday mornings for approximately 2 hours.
