We are seeking story tellers to with engage with residents, encourage conversation and maybe even take a walk down memory lane as they sit in the comfort of an armchair.

As a HammondCare volunteer, you'll be helping residents enjoy a variety of games - Dominoes, Chess, Chinese checkers, Scrabble, backgammon and card games just to name a few. Come along and prepare to be challenged as you volunteer your time.

We are looking for a reliable person to assist us one to two days per week to keep our Residential Care Home looking its best. Duties may include tidy up of our gardens, pruning, site rubbish pickup, minor repair or maintenance, changing light globes. BBQ checks. pressure washing paths. re-arranging storerooms, painting and lubricating door locks. If you feel this is a good match for you, we'd like to hear from you.

We’re looking for a volunteer to assist taking residents (on our bus with a staff member) to a local Children’s Centre, helping them to engage with the children at the preschool, sing, dance, read stories, play games, etc. A Working with Children Check is required.

As you visit and spend time with elderly male residents at HammondCare Waratah, you'll help with activities to build friendship amongst the male residents. Some common activities include cooking at BBQ, card games with tea/coffee cake and an occasional beer and chips.

Do you love to sing or showcase your musical skills! Come join in the fun! Share your love of music with our residents in our HammondCare dementia cottages at Waratah. Bring your own instrument to play some tunes or help lead a sing-along.

Sometimes assist with a gentle walk in a park or sit on a bench watching the dolphins & surfers, taking in the beautiful scenery. You will be helping older Residents in care enjoy their bus outing and have fun in the community.

Share a YARN as you chit chat and click clack at Waratah. Would you like to visit residents and provide conversation while you knit/sew/crochet? Some of our residents used to knit but are unable to now. They would love to watch you and chat.
