Gadibundhu Sober Living is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide social and emotional support for Indigenous men in our drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. This role is ideal for someone passionate about person-centred care and empowering others on their recovery journey. Responsibilities:
✅ Take a person-centred approach to client support ✅ Assist with meal preparation and daily living skills ✅ Provide organisational support—engage medical professionals, arrange allied health & counselling services ✅ Assist with admin tasks and service coordination ✅ Foster social connection—take clients for walks, coffee, or community outings ✅ Link clients to employment, education, or training opportunities
Requirements:
🔹 Studying, planning to study, or holding a Certificate IV in Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol, Social & Community Services, or equivalent 🔹 Understanding of Indigenous culture & trauma-informed care (Indigenous applicants strongly encouraged) 🔹 Ability to build trusting relationships and provide holistic support Why Join Us?
