Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. The Coordinator and their dog will commence as a volunteer reading team and will then receive training to take on the Coordinator position. The Coordinator will recruit, train, support and give recognition to volunteers within their region. The position will also raise awareness of the Story Dogs brand and services. This is a non paid, volunteer role. Story Dogs is committed to child safety and wellbeing.
