The Sound Mentoring Program provides music mentorship to at-risk young people, helping them to achieve their potential as artists and human beings. Come and join us as mentor! We will provide you with training in mentorship and team you up with a mentee based on your existing skillset. Music mentoring is hugely fulfilling journey that can transform not just your life, but the life of a young person in need of confidence, positive role models and an outlet for their creativity.

Music can heal, uplift and even transform lives but the people who need it most often have the least access to it. That is where A Sound Life comes in - we do all the legwork to make it easy for you to simply turn up and perform your music either live over Zoom or directly to patients by their bedside in hospitals. Our next Musician Training Day is happening on Sunday, August 11 from 10am-3pm at Together2, Rozelle in Sydney and via Zoom.

The Vice President (Volunteer) at DAY will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of all organisational projects and supporting the project coordinators who lead them. Acting as a manager of managers, this role involves team recruitment, people management, and ensuring initiatives aligns with DAY Inc’s mission. While leadership experience is a plus, it’s not essential — we provide weekly in-person training and mentoring from the President

Do you want to give back to your community? Becoming and Aged Care Volunteer is incredibly rewarding! The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is a government funded program aiming to reduce loneliness and increase social support and connectedness of older people in our community. Older people are particularly vulnerable to becoming socially isolated, especially if they don't have any family around. Our volunteers play an important part in keeping them connected with regular visits.

To bring joy and social connection to an older person by visiting them in their own homes - in and around the Inner West. You may be able go for a short walk together, go to a cafe or stay indoors for a cuppa and a chat. Approximately an hour a week or fortnight at a time to suit both of you.
