    Host Families make a difference in the world! Being a host family means opening your home, hearts and minds to a young person in High School from overseas. Our host families are open-minded, flexible, tolerant and have a sense of humour. They are keen to learn about another country and culture and share their own lives and experiences with their student. Host Families are welcome from all across Australia - from the city to the country - from the bush to the beach!

  • Local Coordinator - supporting High School Exchange Student in your community.

    YFU STUDENT EXCHANGE

    As a Local Coordinator, you will provide additional support to a High School Exchange student from overseas who is living with a host family and attending High School in your local community. A Local Coordinator must live within 2 hours of where a student is living. If you are interested in other cultures, young people and families, this role is perfect for you. You may have been an exchange student or host family yourself - but that is not a requirement.

You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.

  • Volunteer - Lead a singalong group, Hammondville Residential care

    Hammondville residential aged care home provide care for people living with dementia. We are looking for a lead singer, who will be accompanied by a pianist for a singalong group that occurs every fortnight on a Tuesday between 10:30am and 12 noon. The main purpose of the role is to help people living with dementia to reminiscence. The role is not for a professional singer, instead for someone with a love for music and singing and the passion to make a difference to our elderly residents.
