Rosemary Sprigging – is the preparation of the rosemary sprigs to be handed out to the public on ANZAC Day. On the hills of Gallipoli, wild rosemary grew and Australian and New Zealand soldiers picked a sprig of rosemary and gave it to a mate as they were heading into battle. This activity will suit anyone interested in craft activities. If you are someone who wants to give and keen to organise a team building activity - this activity will suit you.

Legacy requires volunteers to hand out rosemary at the ANZAC round football matches. This is a great opportunity for a family day out or team activity.

On ANZAC Day each year Legacy distributes a gift of rosemary to those participating in and watching the Dawn Service and Main March. Legacy requires volunteers to help distribute the rosemary at the CBD train stations.

Providing front-line support to a community centre in inner Sydney

Help in the provision of service at an inner city community centre which supports the needs of a community, many of whom are homeless or in social or hostel accommodation.

This role involves providing hairdressing services to our community members. Haircuts are a basic form of self-care that can have a major impact on self-confidence and wellbeing. Due to several barriers, many people in our community are unlikely to enjoy and benefit from this experience. This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to make a positive difference in the lives of some of the more vulnerable people in the community.
