Samford Riding for the Disabled needs a skilled Treasurer to join our committee ASAP! The Treasurer plays an integral and legal role in the functioning of Samford Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). The Treasurer manages Samford RDA’s finances on behalf of the Committee, including financial reporting, paying/issuing invoices, reimbursing approved expenses, and ensuring grant monies are properly expended. The Treasurer reports monthly to the Management committee.
Until this month we had limited income and expenditure. Now we have $100,000 (grants), are registered for GST and have to lodge BAS statements. Systems and procedures need to be set up so we can ensure all our accountability /financial responsibilities are complied with. The Committee are all volunteers who work or run businesses, none have accounting expertise though we are able to source accounting direction/assistance this is not on a regular basis.
