Join Legacy for one of Australia's most important days as we remember the sacrifices made by our veterans. We will be handing rosemary to members of the public and collecting donations for the dawn service. We also need some people to help with catering, money counting, and running stalls at Sydney Airport. Bases of Operation: Legacy House, Wynyard Department of Veterans' Affairs, Sydney Central Sydney Airport, Mascot Legacy will provide food and refreshments during the day.
With a strong focus on advising, guiding and helping widows and widowers of veterans, you will be establishing a personal relationship with the people you visit. Legacy provides services and information on combating social isolation, living at home with dignity, and health and security. The successful volunteer will have excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, reliability and have a positive attitude. You must be able to commit 1-2 hours per week, long-term.

The role of Board Secretary needs someone who is proactive, positive and reliable. Because of the nature of the role we'd prefer a one year commitment. You'll attend meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, minutes and action items from the Board Meetings, and have a hand in general administration.
The Heathcote RSL Sub-Branch consists entirely of volunteers supporting the welfare and wellbeing of veterans and their families within the local community, and to support current serving members of the Australia Defence Force. We conduct fund-raising, provide advice and advocacy services, and conduct commemorative services for the community, as well as social events to promote inclusiveness and camaraderie. We have monthly meetings, regular luncheons, bus trips and happy hours.
