This role involves supporting residents with sundowning, a dementia-related condition causing confusion and agitation in the late afternoon/evening. Volunteers help by engaging in calming activities, offering companionship, and assisting care staff. Responsibilities include creating a soothing environment, participating in relaxation techniques, and offering gentle redirection. Ideal for empathetic individuals.

Sunday, 2 Mar 2025 Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla A family-friendly, fun-filled morning requires no special skills, experience, or training – just your presence and enthusiasm. Some tasks may include directing and encouraging participants around the course, selling merchandise, and handing out participants' packs. There is even a role for the keen bike riders out there! We need volunteers on the day from 6.45 a.m. to approximately midday in various roles.

Vinnies Support Centres are client-centred support and referral services operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society. They offer face-to-face support to those in the community who require financial, food or material assistance. Volunteering is a great way to interact with like-minded people and build friendships.
