Volunteer Admin Role – Sutherland Vinnies Support Centre

You will work with other volunteers and conference members providing administrative support to the VSC Coordinator or site-based Conferences. Your role will be to enter the outcomes (called ‘Form B’) of the home visit requests conducted by Vinnies Conference members. This data will be entered into our client database called ‘GKO.’ In addition, you will enter in GKO any notes made by the Conference stemming from these visits. You will also be responsible for booking future home visits or entering other notes about support provided people by the Society. Our friendly team will provide all training required to do the role.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of the people we assist.
We need volunteers with the following abilities/attributes:
A willingness to be trained.
Ability to operate within a compassionate and non-judgmental framework.
Excellent communication skills.
High attention to detail and highly organised.
Ability to volunteer as part of a team and contribute to the working environment in a positive and supportive manner.
Intermediate computer skills.
Sensitivity to different political/cultural/ethnic backgrounds and a respect of First Nations peoples, multiculturalism, gender and sexual diversity.
A willingness to adhere to all WHS policies and procedures and work within the Society’s Code of Conduct.
