We are looking for volunteer tutor who is able to deliver learning support for students who are unable to attend our face-to-face session. The session timing and day would be dependent on your availability at a mutually agreed time with the parents/guardian of the students. Tutor will be matched to the student(s) depending upon the subject area of which the tutor is comfortable aiding the student.
As a Mac Mates Volunteer you will be providing regular support and encouragement to someone living with a macular disease.
The Peer Support Group Facilitator role is well suited to someone with good communications skills and confidence in public speaking. Ideally you will have experience facilitating a support group and/or demonstrate the ability to guide a balanced discussion. Personal experience with macular disease is desirable but not necessary.
