Role Overview

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for creating and executing fundraising initiatives that support the financial goals of our club. Reporting to the Treasurer, this person works closely with various club members, and the community to develop, plan, promote, and implement various fundraising events and campaigns.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting grassroots sports, connecting with the community, and contributing to a club’s long-term success.

This is a hybrid role. Most of the work can be completed remotely, and then you would need to be on-site for various meetings and all in-person fundraising events.

Time required

During the season and major events it may be 4-6 hours per week. During the off-season it may be 0-1 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Fundraising Strategies: Identify and create innovative fundraising opportunities tailored to the club’s financial needs and community appeal, including events, raffles, game day initiatives and online campaigns.

  • Executing Fundraising Initiatives: liaising with various club members to ensure fundraising activities are well supported with volunteers and resources. You will be required to oversee and manage any fundraising activity with the support of the committee and in particular the treasurer.

  • Engaging the Community and Members: Foster member and community involvement in fundraising activities by promoting events and encouraging participation. Utilising social media, the club newsletter, and other communication channels to increase awareness and turnout.

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Experience in fundraising, event planning, or sales
  • Ability to engage with community members and foster relationships
  • Creativity in planning and executing unique, attractive events and campaigns
  • Familiarity with budgeting and basic financial reporting
