We use a combination of the Trust Technique and Warwick Schiller’s Training Techniques with our horses and you will need to work within a team to ensure that our horses are trained to be able to cope with regular handling and having their health care needs taken care of. We need both groundwork handlers and ridden work riders and you can do either or both.

Their care is our single largest cost each year and we would very much like to offset that cost by having each horse sponsored by community members or local businesses. The Sponsorships Coordinate will find and manage sponsors so that they are engaged with the program and are happy to provide ongoing support for their chosen horse. Your primary responsibility is the safety and welfare of the herd. We have a herd of around 40 cows that will decrease and expand with time as we rescue and rehome herds into forever homes. You will graze the animals with a Holistic Management plan, herding them to areas of good forage, and keeping a watchful eye out for poisonous plants and other dangers such predators and vehicles.
