Do you love to go for a drive? Would you like to be able to help those who cannot drive and need support get from one place to another? We need your driving and skills and engaging personality to support our clients.
This role provides valuable support to the House and Administration Coordinator on Fridays from 9am to 2pm through practical assistance and support with ‘front of house’ activities and a range of administrative tasks. The role will predominantly entail reception activities such as the answering of phones, record keeping, taking messages, and assisting members and visitors of the house with various tasks and inquiries.
This role involves using an espresso coffee machine to make coffees, providing friendly and hospitable service and handling small amounts of cash/using EFTpos. We currently need volunteers on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
The role of the Playgroup volunteer is to assist the Playgroup Coordinator with set-up, facilitation and pack-down of playgroup sessions. Playgroup at Reynard Street Neighbourhood House is a supportive, play-based learning and socialising session held four mornings per week. It’s a great opportunity for children aged 0-5 years and their parents/carers to participate in a range of social and creative activities.
This role will involve leading a small group of walkers on interesting walks around the vicinity of RSNH on Fridays from 11am to 12pm. Ideally you would have a basic level of fitness, good people skills and enjoy community interaction and walking. Experience working with people with disabilities is desired but not essential. Hours are Fridays 11am - 12pm with a free community lunch provided at 12:30pm. This walking group is affiliated with the Heart Foundation Walking Program.
This role provides valuable support to Reynard Street Neighbourhood House, providing general maintenance assistance in the house itself, the sensory garden, and the Community Garden in Robinson Reserve. Reynard Street Neighbourhood House supports and encourages a happy, healthy, vibrant and inclusive local community. RSNH’s mission is to improve the wellbeing of our community and build a strong neighbourhood by being a welcoming place where everyone can learn, connect and play.
This role provides valuable support to Reynard Street Neighbourhood House and, in particular, its food program which supports the food needs of vulnerable people in our community. This position involves regularly driving to food donation warehouses, collecting the food donations for us, and bringing them back to the house for distribution in our Community Pantry.
This role will involve hands on work within a small team of volunteers focusing on maintaining the garden beds within Reynard Street Neighbourhood House and in the adjoining Community Garden where required. This role is a great way to become involved with a meaningful project, while meeting new people, and staying active and involved in your community.

Supported by the INLLEN, mentors work collaboratively with school teachers and Year 11/12 students on a 9 week structured mentoring program. Through activities and discussion, mentors share their work and life experience with a small group of 1-3 students. Mentors should be over 18, able to live and work in Australia, have Australian work experience, are kind and empathetic. No previous mentoring required.
