Local community-based Men’s Shed is looking for ex-tradies / retirees with good carpentry/joiner or cabinet-making skills. The workshop projects vary from the repair and building of furniture to the building of shelving, mud kitchens, ramps and stairs, nesting boxes, old caravan repairs and wooden toys. We have all the tools & equipment required for our projects within our workshop. Our objective is to support the community and the volunteers within our men’s shed.

Local charitable organisation is looking for people to assist with various garden maintenance projects helping those in need in the community. Times and availability to be discussed with each volunteer. Ability to handle mowing and whip-snip tasks mainly required. Available Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays [7:00am to Noon]

Lakes Salvos is supporting people struggling with the current cost of living by operating a small Food Market on our site. Shoppers can access our free fruit, veg and bread and purchase cheap grocery items. Our aim is not to just provide for material needs but to provide a place where people can connect, have a chat and find a listening ear. As such all customers are greeted at the door and offered a coffee whilst waiting.

Our Technical Volunteer designs, makes or modifies aids and equipment for people with a disability or the frail aged when there is no commercial solution available. Volunteers undertake project work in their own homes and sheds using their own tools.
