Carpenter / Joiner / Cabinet Maker Volunteer (3541)

Hunter Volunteer Centre

Logo for Hunter Volunteer Centre

Local community-based Men’s Shed is looking for ex-tradies / retirees with good carpentry/joiner or cabinet-making skills. The workshop projects vary from the repair and building of furniture to the building of shelving, mud kitchens, ramps and stairs, nesting boxes, old caravan repairs and wooden toys. We have all the tools & equipment required for our projects within our workshop. Our objective is to support the community and the volunteers within our men’s shed.

Enjoy working as part of a friendly group engaged in charitable works and fundraising to improve and advance our shed. The driving concepts behind Men’s Sheds are to alleviate isolation and provide people with opportunities for regular social contact, ensuring a more cohesive and inclusive society.

Volunteers are given an orientation and all necessary safety information.
