• Do you speak a second language? • Want to make a positive impact in the life of a migrant or refugee? • Would you like to help someone new to Australia learn English? • Do you have an hour free each week to support a student through a term of study? Learning English is the most important factor in helping new migrants and refugees settle in Australia. You could make a difference to someone by volunteering from one hour a week with our Adult Migrant English Program students.

Host Families make a difference in the world! Being a host family means opening your home, hearts and minds to a young person in High School from overseas. Our host families are open-minded, flexible, tolerant and have a sense of humour. They are keen to learn about another country and culture and share their own lives and experiences with their student. Host Families are welcome from all across Australia - from the city to the country - from the bush to the beach!
Everyone is welcome to volunteer at parkrun events. We have heaps of fun, simple and rewarding opportunities to lend a hand for one to two hours on a Saturday morning at parkrun events across Australia. No training is required, roles are fully supported on the day and you can take part as often or as little as you would like. You can volunteer as a marshal, timekeeper, photographer or try your hand at scanning barcodes and handing out tokens…..to name a few of the roles we have available.
