Emotional support and companionship is so important for senior Australians, particularly following the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In recognition of this, and to address the decline in volunteers during this time, the Australian Government is encouraging the return of volunteers and encouraging new volunteers to residential aged care facilities (RACFs).
The Award Winning Pichi Richi Railway could be for you! We are looking for volunteers who can provide customer service to our passenger customers. Our front of house role, involves meeting people, answering their questions and generally making sure they know where & when to board their trains and provide assistance as needed. Working with our ticket sales team in the Station Ticket Office and checking-In train passengers.
We are looking for Tour Guides with charismatic skills, who are enthusiastic and able to engage with people.
