Rowville-Lysterfield Community News - The Rowville-Lysterfield Community News has been publishing since September 1981. With over 200 volunteers associated with it's publication it has been proud to be a successful medium for keeping residents up-to-date with events and news that are happening in the community.

The Programs team ensures that HER Africa’s programs are set up and delivered effectively and efficiently by working closely with the local team in Nigeria who are on the ground with our partner communities. The team is strongly committed to prioritising community participation in all aspects of program delivery.

The Fundraising, Marketing and Events team are looking to raise awareness about HER Africa, a not-for-profit organisation that work to empower poor African children, women and families. SchoolKits for Congo equips child victims of war to restart their lives and education. We are designing fund-raising activity packages for Australian schools so that school communities can enjoy helping children in need.

SchoolKits for Congo provides and improves access to education in war-torn Eastern Congo. We are preparing education packages for Australian school students to help with awareness-raising and are interested in finding curriculum links in the Australian English Curriculum. Teachers familiar with those documents will know where the most relevant links are, and can help us to best help our helpers!

Inclusion Melbourne has received a grant from the City if Glen Eira to address the service gap for the many people with a cognitive disability who are ineligible for NDIS funded plans. This program is called Leisure Buddies, which is a unique buddying and mentoring service that matches Participants to a Volunteer.
