The Volunteering Portfolio exists to recruit the best tutors and staff, then ensure a fulfilling and rewarding experience through active engagement and professional development. As the Events Manager you’ll be solely in charge of organising events for all of the volunteers to participate in this serves as a perk for volunteering their time towards our mission. Many physical events will be held across the few states that RESN volunteers are based and these events will cater around 5 to 200 people. These events are a vital part of boosting business culture and communication.

Key Characteristics

Our Events Manager should have:

  • Incredible organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills- grammatically, verbally and interpersonally
  • Creativity- to think outside of the box

Key Tasks

Here's a snapshot of what a semester as an event manager might look like for you:

  • Brainstorming ideas for the event prioritising which ones you are excited to host
  • regular communication and meeting with the rest of the volunteering portfolio for collaborative discussions about ongoing projects
  • Seeking quotes and availabilities of venues as well as writing out an agenda and creating posters for the event
