Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Assisting with cleaning designated objects using proper conservation cleaning techniques

• Inspecting and measuring environmental conditions inside the property and in exhibition spaces

• Monitoring and recording object condition

• Moving objects as necessary and documenting location changes

Training

• Induction and familiarisation visit with the property and staff

• Full training in basic conservation cleaning techniques

• On-the-job training in conservation cleaning, object handling and basic collection management
