Join the Paddle Tasmania Board to Guide Our Future!

Paddle Tasmania, as the peak body for paddling, is dedicated to promoting and supporting an accessible and inclusive paddling community. We are seeking passionate volunteer Board Members to provide strategic leadership and expertise.

Based on our Strategic and Operational Plan, your role will involve guiding and overseeing key initiatives:

• Participation & Inclusion: Drive strategies to grow the paddling community, including communications channels (newsletter, socials, etc.), expanding youth programs and actively promoting diversity through initiatives like the Everyone Paddles and Paddle Her Way grants.

• Strategic Growth & Sustainability: Help guide our core 2026 priorities: growing participation, strengthening club support, securing sustainable funding, and pursuing new revenue streams such as sponsorships.

• Community Support: Oversee the provision of tailored support to our clubs and volunteers, encouraging social activities, assisting clubs with member strategies, and supporting our technical committees (Canoe Slalom, Canoe Polo).

• Governance & Oversight: Manage the organisation’s financial strategy and provide oversight for key programs and initiatives.

We are specifically looking for candidates based in Tasmania with skills in finance, partnerships, marketing, volunteer engagement, membership, or paddlesports.

The Board meets online every second month on Monday evenings.
