Join a dynamic team committed to promoting the rights, needs and interests of people with disability to enable full and meaningful participation in the community
We are looking for Meals on Wheels Volunteer Helpers who have a desire to make a real difference in their community. You will be paired with a volunteer driver to deliver nutritious meals to people who cannot cook for themselves. In your role as a helper, you will have the opportunity to greet, and check in with the participant receiving the meals. A conversation that is much appreciated by the participant.
Meals on Wheels deliver meals to older people and people with a disability living in the Parramatta LGA on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Drivers are responsible for driving to our Hunter Street office then to customers' homes with a helper. Volunteers will need to have a full licence and own comprehensively insured car.
Volunteering at our op shop will give you a sense of community, with satisfaction from helping others, recycling unwanted goods and most importantly you will be raising money for Grace’s Place.

Side By Side Advocacy is looking for a person living or working in the Parramatta area to connect with Max. Max is a friendly man in his early 70s living in North Parramatta. He’s a loyal Parramatta Eels fan, enjoys a chat, and sharing a cuppa. If you can commit around half an hour every 1-2 weeks to visit and get to know Max, you could make an enormous difference in his life.
