Fundraising Manager

Women’s Welfare Australia (WWA) is a grassroots charity committed to empowering vulnerable women and girls from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, including refugees and migrants. We are working towards a future where every woman and girl thrives.
WWA is seeking a volunteer Fundraising Manager to lead our donor engagement, fundraising campaigns, and community giving initiatives. This is a pivotal role that will help strengthen our donor relationships, grow our supporter base, and secure the financial support needed to expand our impact.
You will craft compelling donor experiences, steward key relationships, and oversee the execution of digital campaigns and community-led fundraising. You’ll also support the development of partnerships with corporate supporters and major donors.
Key Responsibilities

Donor Experience and Stewardship • Design and implement strategies to improve donor engagement, loyalty, and satisfaction • Develop stewardship journeys to recognise and retain regular donors • Ensure timely thank-you messages, updates, and reports to keep supporters informed and connected

Fundraising Campaigns and Appeals • Plan and lead seasonal and thematic fundraising campaigns (e.g. EOFY, International Women’s Day) • Write and coordinate digital appeals, social media campaigns, and email communications • Work with the Communications team to highlight impact stories and calls to action

Community and Peer-to-Peer Fundraising • Support grassroots and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts (e.g., community events, online fundraisers) • Provide resources and encouragement to community fundraisers • Identify opportunities to turn volunteers and followers into financial supporters

Corporate and Major Donor Engagement • Assist in identifying and cultivating corporate partners and mid-tier/major donors • Support the preparation of pitches, proposals, and recognition plans • Coordinate donor meetings and events, as needed

Fundraising Administration and Insights • Track donor activity, campaign performance, and donations using CRM tools or spreadsheets • Prepare brief monthly updates on campaign results and donor trends • Help ensure our messaging and materials are aligned with brand and values
Skills & Qualifications • Experience in fundraising, donor management, or marketing/communications • Strong writing and storytelling skills with a donor-centric mindset • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects • Comfortable using digital tools like email marketing platforms, Canva, and spreadsheets • A passion for social justice, women’s rights, and community-led change • Experience with donor CRMs or platforms like Raisely or GiveNow (desirable but not essential)
