Emergency Relief services play a vital role in helping people address their immediate basic needs when they are facing hardships such as low or no income, increase in cost of living, unexpected life events, illness, loss of employment, family breakdown, or family violence.

The Social Enterprise Engagement Volunteer will work collaboratively with the Social Enterprise Engagement Coordinator to provide support to people seeking asylum and refugees who are employed by ASRC’s Social Enterprises. You’ll be engaging directly with staff to develop pathways to meaningful employment as well as providing administration support to coordinate the delivery of training and skills development workshops focused on boosting employability and job readiness.

When disaster or emergency strikes, our Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) teams support communities at their point of need. You’ll find our volunteers providing meals and refreshments to first responders and evacuees, distributing bedding and material needs for displaced community members, and holding a listening ear for those who have experienced the disaster firsthand. Our SAES teams rely on volunteers and are always looking for new recruits.
