CatholicCare Victoria invites you to join our team as a Emergency Relief Volunteer. This is an incredible opportunity to provide immediate assistance and support to individuals and families in financial crisis.

Emergency Relief services play a vital role in helping people address their immediate basic needs when they are facing hardships such as low or no income, unexpected life events, illness, loss of employment, family breakdown, or family violence.

Your responsibilities will include conducting client service intake, conducting interviews (via telephone), performing data entry, maintaining client records, and providing Emergency Relief within established guidelines and program resources. You will also can advocate for clients, offer information on other support services, and ensure that each individual receives the extended assistance they require. With a customer service focus, you will uphold client confidentiality and privacy, offering a compassionate and supportive environment.

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our clients and volunteers, we require the following prerequisites: a National Police Certificate, and a Working with Children Check.
