Our organisation supports older people who live alone or have few social connections to help improve their well-being. Our programs match those not in regular social contact with people with caring and friendly volunteers. This role involves personal visiting, including social conversations and can include social outings and group activities. This is a Commonwealth-funded Aged Care Program with no charges to the client. This role is available in locations around Cessnock and surrounding suburbs

Meal Delivery Driver volunteers deliver fresh, chef-prepared three-course meals to frail seniors across Newcastle on weekdays between 9am and 1.30pm. Volunteers provide friendly service to socially isolated clients and help brighten their day. Full training is provided, and petrol reimbursement is available for approved delivery runs. Volunteers use their own vehicle and must be reliable, caring, and enjoy connecting with older people in the community.

You'll be required to prepare & pack goods, once bound for landfill but now recycled, for distribution to our charity shops. Your good time management, presentation & organisational skills and efficiency are essential. You'll assist with cleaning & keeping the centre tidy. You'll be physically able to lift bulky items.
