Guide and Assistance Dogs change lives. It is the independence and freedom offered by these dogs to our clients that keeps us going. Our Puppy Raisers look after an 8 to 10 week old puppy, in their home, for a period of 6 to 12 months This requires a degree of physical fitness, which includes being able to negotiate steps, walk 3-5km per day and frequent bending and lifting (up to 20kg). Puppy Raisers expose our puppies to different environments including public transport, shopping centres etc.
Love to drive? Love to help people? We need you to drive our clients to medical appointments, shopping and social activities. A vehicle is provided by Community Home Care. Required any day - Monday to Friday. You must hold a C Class license and have a safe driving record. Triple vaccination mandatory.

Meeting and greeting community members, assisting them to find the service or activity they are seeking, formal and informal referrals, giving tours of the facilities and community garden and enjoying rich conversations with our wonderful diverse community.
Opportunity to use your musical skills and passion for the joy of patients. Musicians required to volunteer at St John of God Hospital. Working under the resident Music Therapist, you will create musical moments for patients. This could be by way of singing songs with or without musical accompaniment (instruments need to be portable and suitable for a hospital environment). We strongly recommend that you have at least 3 COVID vaccinations and the annual flu vaccination.

Nightfields is a diversionary sports-based program designed to engage ‘at risk’ youth and encourage positive community behaviour. SMF isn't looking for someone extremely sporty, our main request is for enthusiastic volunteers who will be keen to 'have a go' whilst positively engaging and commenting with participants.
This is an interesting and diverse role in both administration and event management.
This role would be suitable for anyone needing experience in working with children or for those who just love kids!
