FareShare’s mission is simple. We rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and cook it into free, nutritious meals for people in crisis. Our corporate volunteering program is fun and engaging way to make a tangible difference in lives of Queenslanders in need. Groups are given the opportunity to build rapport with their teammates while cooking over 1000 meals in Australia's largest charity kitchen. Expect to learn about hunger and food waste, and perhaps pick up a few new kitchen skills.
FareShare in Brisbane uses rescued and donated food to cook free, nutritious meals for those most in need. Guided by professional chefs, our kitchen volunteers chop, prepare, cook and pack thousands of meals each week for those in need, while saving food from waste. Morning and afternoon shifts are available, with additional evening shifts opening in 2020. No experience is required.
