The Nappy Collective supports vulnerable people in our community by redistributing nappies to families in need. 1 in 10 families experience nappy stress, which means they don’t have access to enough nappies to keep their little ones clean. We are the only organisation in Australia dedicated to addressing this issue and have redistributed over 4 million nappies to families in need since 2013.

How does The Nappy Collective work? We collect donations of new and leftover nappies from our Collection Points and distribute those donations to Community Partners (a registered organisation that supports families that may be experiencing financial hardship, a temporary crisis, homelessness or escaping domestic violence). We collect nappies all year-round, but also have an Annual Collective Campaign that runs for 2 weeks in July.

Make a positive impact in your community, without a weekly commitment. We know volunteers are busy people. Therefore, our volunteer program is flexible, so that you can help out when you have the capacity to do so.

When you register to volunteer with us as part of our Collective Crew, you will be assigned to your local region. Supported by a local team, your role will include:

• Collecting donations from local Collection Points as needed
• Counting those nappies and packaging them for delivery
• Delivering the donations to a local Community Partner
• During our Annual Collective Campaign, there will be an increase in donations. Following the campaign, there will be a “Sort and Count” event in your region, where our volunteers come together to sort and count the donations, before packaging them and delivering to local Community Partners.

Your level of involvement is up to you. You can volunteer in a variety of ways - either as part of our Collective Crew or in a leadership role - and you may have relevant skills that we are in need of. You will receive all the relevant information and support to ensure your experience volunteering with The Nappy Collective is a fulfilling one.
