We will be planting a mixture of koala food trees, habitat species and native understory species to prevent weeds such as lantana from establishing which inhibits koala movement between trees.

Situated near one of the largest mangrove ecosystems in Moreton Bay, seagrass meadows and migratory shorebird sites this project Lucinda Lake has important environmental values. On project day’s volunteers will help undertake targeted and focused eradication of weeds, planting of 1000 native grasses, participating in UQ’s Cane Toad Challenge by tadpole trapping and camera trapping to collect wildlife data.
