**LGBTIQA+ VOLUNTEER MENTOR POSITION** We are currently seeking LGBTIQA+ Volunteer Mentors to mentor young persons aged 12-18 years in high schools across Central Coast NSW who are LGBTIQA+ and are at risk of disengaging from their education, training, and/or communities. The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW commonly known as ‘Vinnies’ is a member and volunteer-based organisation that has been assisting people experiencing disadvantage in NSW for more than 130 years. We are looking for volunteers to support and help manage shop operations. ***To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. You will be contacted soon to arrange a mutually convenient time and place. ***

Attending court can be challenging and distressing, especially if it is your first time. CRC’s trained volunteers provide information on court processes, where to seek advice, and emotional support to people attending local courts across NSW. Legal advice is not provided in this role.

As a Gig Buddies’ volunteer you will assist an adult with mild to moderate learning disability and/or autism to access the community and attend events (and have fun!). You will be provided training and ongoing support to do this. You and your buddy will go to an event (gig) or catch up once a month for at least 12 months. You and your buddy choose the events you both want to attend.

This role provides individual Social Support to MyAged Care approved Seniors. The service is by phone and includes both a daily welfare check and social chat service.

This role is a personal visiting service including social conversations and can include local outings for MyAged Care approved Seniors in the Community. This is a Commonwealth Funded Aged Care Program with no charges to the client.

Vinnies Support Centres are a point of contact for people seeking assistance from the St Vincent de Paul Society. The Centres also provide administrative and practical support to Society members who, through the Society’s home visitation program, support people in their local community who are experiencing hardship or are marginalised.

HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly people living in their home. As a pastoral care volunteer you’ll be a Christian actively involved with a local Christian church in Gosford and surrounding regions.
