A former businesswoman and talented seamstress who once specialised in tie-dyeing, she now enjoys quiet days filled with worship music and Bible reading.

Have a passion for great conversation and fascinating life stories? We’re looking for a volunteer to visit a remarkable woman once a week for an hour of connection and conversation. She’s a retired nurse, midwife, and educator who’s proud of her Welsh roots. She lights up when talking about her career, archaeology (especially Egyptology), and her favourite SBS programs. She shares her home with a small bird and would love someone to chat with about life, learning, and everything in between.

We are looking for Meals on Wheels Volunteer Helpers who have a desire to make a real difference in their community. You will be paired with a volunteer driver to deliver nutritious meals to people who cannot cook for themselves. In your role as a helper, you will have the opportunity to greet, and check in with the participant receiving the meals. A conversation that is much appreciated by the participant.
