Community Social Visit Volunteer (Welsh roots and archaeology), Pemulwuy NSW

Have a passion for great conversation and fascinating life stories?
We’re looking for a volunteer to visit a remarkable woman once a week for an hour of connection and conversation. She’s a retired nurse, midwife, and educator who’s proud of her Welsh roots. She lights up when talking about her career, archaeology (especially Egyptology), and her favourite SBS programs. She shares her home with a small bird and would love someone to chat with about life, learning, and everything in between. Your visit could be the highlight of her week!
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
