Chantal Cottage is a Day Centre and Respite Centre for elderly people living with dementia. Operated by Catholic Healthcare. Volunteer and join our dynamic team in providing clients with a friendly and relaxed home-like atmosphere in which to participate in activities and socialise. Volunteers assist staff by engaging clients in activities at the Centre and providing extra social support.
A Walking Group Assitant is required to accompany an over 65's group which departs from the McQuoin Park Leisure and Wellness Hub, Wahroonga, and takes a variety of routes around the local area. A pleasant social group of people who enjoy getting out and improving their fitness on easy grade walks. We are a member of the Heart Foundation Walking Program and if interested you can become qualified as a Walk Leader with the Heart Foundation.
Our Trivia Quiz is conducted online for retirement village residents and clients in community settings. We required a Volunteer to assist by asking the Trivia Quiz Questions. A clear speaking voice is important to deliver this online quiz either out of our Wellness Hub in Wahroonga or remotely from home. You will be assisted in the role by Catholic Healthcare staff.
McQuoin Park Leisure and Wellness Hub conducts fortnightly bus outings to beaches, National Parks etc… The volunteers assist by providing a valuable extra set of hands on these excursions as well sitting with clients encouraging interaction and promoting interest in the visited area.
