The Volunteer Tutor Scheme is a program that helps migrants and refugees who are unable to attend AMEP English classes, with one on one lessons for 1 hour per week. Anyone can become a volunteer tutor, even if you’re not a native English speaker. All you need is confidence in English, access to transport and the desire to help others learn. You will be helping people to access basic services and connect with the community, thereby having a huge impact on their ability to settle in Australia.

We are excited to announce an opportunity for compassionate individuals to join our Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme as volunteers. As we strive to enhance the quality of life for our elderly residents, we are seeking dedicated volunteers to provide companionship and support.

Do you want to make a difference in a young person's life? 1 in 10 young people are disengaged with school and 1 in 4 are unhappy with their lives. At Raise we know that a mentor can change the course of a young person’s life, helping teenagers to build resilience and feel more hopeful for the future, We recruit and train volunteers from the community to become youth mentors, before matching them with a teenager at a local public high school.

Are you looking for a social connection and want to make a difference? We have a variety of flexible volunteer roles that would suit anyone. As an activity support volunteer you may either assist our Lifestyle staff or run your own sessions.

Are you someone who wants to make a difference in someone's life? Are you sociable and like chatting to people? We have flexible volunteer roles for people who'd like to provide companionship to our residents who may be isolated or lonely. With the gift of time and a listening ear you can improve someone’s quality of life for far longer than the hour or so you might spend with them.

Make a difference in children's and families lives by volunteering in the family home. Get to know the family by visiting weekly to provide meaningful support and practical help for families who have a child with a life limiting illness. Arabic speakers are desirable for this role but not compulsory.

4 Voices stands with women in crisis. We’re a grassroots charity reaching women facing domestic violence, isolation and hardship. On the street, on the phone, and online — we connect them to safety, support and a way forward. Our volunteers offer real help, real hope, and a reason to believe change is possible.
