    Volunteer with this Service and provide a support person role for people with cognitive impairment at courthouses, police stations, lawyer’s offices and prisons. Volunteers ensure that criminal justice processes and language are explained clearly and that the client’s wishes and decisions are respected. Your strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and interact well with others will be highly regarded. Basic computer skills are required for this role.

    Your energy and enthusiasm, ability to cycle a trishaw carrying 2 people and empathy with the frail aged and disabled members of our community are a must for this role. You'll peddle the trishaw, ferrying people (including a carer) in the front seat around areas of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. You'll need to be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 and willing to undergo a current National Criminal Check.
