You will be delivering & collecting items and stock (including bulky items) from shops across the region and delivering items to community members in need. You will help raise funds by distributing welfare items across the region to support the housing of the homeless and other vulnerable people. You will work alongside another volunteer and work as part of the wider team reporting to and assisted by our Distribution Centre but operate from a Transport Hub.

Rosa is in her late 60’s and is looking for someone to take to the local shops for a cuppa coffee and a chat. She can’t get her walker in to the car without help and is isolated because of this. Could you be a new friend to this lonely older person in our community? Just an hour a fortnight could make all the difference.

This role involves collecting a 3.5M poly boat on a purpose-built aluminium trailer with an electric start 4-stroke motor and towing it 500 meters to a public boat ramp. Launch the boat with the help of club members, drive the boat out onto Throsby Creek and lay markers to create a sailing course. Return to shore and be on standby to collect distressed model boats if required. When racing has concluded, collect the buoys & return the boat to its original location.

Provide a warm and welcome environment to people accessing the Matthew Talbot Mens Homeless Service in Wickham. With the demand for our service growing, we need support in our day to day operations.

We are seeking Volunteers to coach and mentor young people aged 15-18 years (currently at school or have left school) to construct small vessels such as dinghies or kayaks. The program is aimed at youth who struggle to progress through school or have left school and have difficulty moving into further education or the workplace. This program provides a safe space for participants to build the positive approach needed to maintain their education or pursue further training and employment.

Share your love of preparing food and make a positive impact on our senior citizens by providing nutritious morning tea and lunch time meal each week, as part of our Healthy Ageing Program. This may include purchasing supplies, cooking and serving on the day and kitchen clean up.

Make a positive impact on the lives of our ageing clients by assisting in the delivery of planned activity programs. Assist the current activity team with recreational activities and socialisation activities for clients. This may include setting up activities, activity participation and guidance. Your enthusiastic nature and ability to engage with our clients will be highly regarded.
