Volunteer with this Service and provide a support person role for people with cognitive impairment at courthouses, police stations, lawyer’s offices and prisons. Volunteers ensure that criminal justice processes and language are explained clearly and that the client’s wishes and decisions are respected. Your strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and interact well with others will be highly regarded. Basic computer skills are required for this role.

Jan is in her late 70’s, she wants to stay fit and active but just can’t keep up with the larger social groups anymore. Horses provide vital mental and physical stimulation for our disabled participants, improving their confidence, increasing their autonomy and delivering immeasurable amounts of pleasure. There are many and varied opportunities for volunteers at our centre.
