We are seeking volunteers to support the spiritual and emotional needs of elderly people living in an aged care home. As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church. You’ll supplement and complement the work of our Residential Pastoral Care Coordinator and under their direction, you may support people to meet their spiritual needs, support people and families in times of crisis and nurture spiritual development.

Your kind, caring, and compassionate nature is required for this role. We are looking for support workers to assist our clients who need help in various areas, including food distribution, general support with forms and accessing information, life skills and support in outreach centres and community halls. This position would suit someone undertaking a Certificate 3 in Community Support Work or placement hours.

Could you help make someone's day a bit brighter by joining our craft crew once a month to make items for patient comfort? Cessnock Volunteers provide comfort to patients, their carers and families when they need it most. As well as supporting staff, you will be helping to help build a better patient experience. Our Craft Coordinator can help coordinate the use of materials and how to make items that comply with our work health and safety regulations and help with patient comfort.
