We have a weekly Barbecue for residents at our Retirement Community in Cowandilla. Starting with setup, volunteers help with preparations, serving lunch, chatting with residents and cleaning up. This opportunity promises to be a lot of fun for all involved.

We are looking for people who have sewing, crochet, or knitting skills to help guide patrons in how to use the equipment. Basic internet skills so that you can find YouTube tutorials would be preferred.

These sessions are created for our residents to have a safe space where they can meet friends or make new friends whilst having some fun and taught some new skills. It’s a great social connection session for those who are socially isolated, lonely or looking to make meet their fellow residents and make new friends.
Are you a person who enjoys variety and a chat along the way? Our Clinical Team need your assistance! Calvary Flora McDonald is seeking volunteers who can lessen the social isolation some residents feel in aged care, by greeting the family members and having a chat with the residents. The role may also involve some filing, answering of phone, all we require is that happy smiling personality that you will bring with you!

Are you a sociable person who enjoys talking and listening to to others? For this volunteering you will need to be understanding of elderly people's needs and limits. You will need to be as reliable as possible. You will need to be willing to contact the CVS Co-ordinator to report every quarter and when you need support.
Located at our WestCare Centre, Volunteer Health Navigators work with the Pastoral Care Nurse to support clients, experiencing or at risk of homelessness, who are also living with chronic health conditions to co-design their own healthcare plans and access the care they need.
