To bring joy and social connection to an older man by visiting in his residential home. Approximately an hour weekly/fortnightly at a time to suit both of you. Volunteering under the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme you will make a difference in the life of an older person by helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation improve their overall wellbeing.

The teenage years are tough, and thousands of young people lack the support and skills needed to face those challenges. Youth mentoring is an evidence-based, early intervention program designed to help young people survive and thrive during adolescence and beyond. Raise recruit and train people from all walks of life to become volunteer mentors, working with young people aged 13-16 who need support.

Very special volunteers are required to visit patients and their families in a home environment and provide companionship to the patient and respite for the carer.

Palliative Care Volunteers are trained workers who provide practical and emotional support to people with life limiting illness and their families.

Volunteers who play a musical instruments are required to play to palliative care patients

Do you have a talent in arts and craft and would like to help patients in palliative care?

We’re after an extra special volunteer for our Trolley Talk program, an intergenerational program with Ashfield Boys High School, where seniors and students meet at Ashfield Mall for an hour to shop, walk and talk.

Would you like to brighten someone’s day with a visit and chat? Our visiting program supports clients who find it difficult to get out of their home into the community. Clients look forward to and gain confidence from social interaction in a familiar setting. Volunteer with us if you are interested in using your social skills to help someone maintain their independence.

The Community Visitors Scheme is seeking volunteer visitors for regular social visits in a one-on-one or group.

The volunteer is an assistant to the two teaching artists for the dance class Thursday afternoons in school terms.
