Vinnies Support Centres are client-centred support and referral services operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society. They offer face-to-face support to those in the community who require financial, food or material assistance. Volunteering is a great way to interact with like-minded people and build friendships. Feel satisfied knowing you are working for an organisation that makes a difference for those in need.

We come from all walks of life, from parents and grandparents wanting to be involved in their grand/children’s learning, to passionate community members wanting to make a difference.
We have lovely residents waiting for someone to provide social connection and support and show a genuine interest and concern for them. Visits are weekly or fortnightly - either mid morning or mid afternoon

The Volunteer Reading Helper assists children in practicing reading in the classroom at local schools. Just one hour a week can improve children's reading skills enormously. Training provided, great flexibility, wonderful environment. Reading Friends Australia is registered for Volunteer Work with Centrelink.
