Sustainable Gardening Australia has a database of over 1000 products used in gardening. The database records the impacts of the chemicals in the products and their safety for humans and the environment and gives them a rating on a 6-star basis. The products need to be re-examined by looking at the manufacturers' information and the Material Safety Data sheets, registering the impacts on humans, wildlife and waterways and entering the information into a database.
