Darling Downs Environment Council is seeking volunteers to join our fundraising committee. You would be working with other volunteers and our coordinator to create a direct impact on issues in our region.
Role Title: Faith Group Outreach Coordinator Organisation: Darling Downs Environment Council (DDEC) Location: Flexible/remote with some in-person meetings and events in the Darling Downs region Commitment: 3–5 hours per week (flexible) + occasional events

Role Title: Policy Research and Analysis Volunteer – Forests & Tree Protection Organisation: Darling Downs Environment Council (DDEC) Location: Darling Downs region (remote / hybrid options available) Time Commitment: Flexible; approximately 4–8 hours per week Reporting To: DDEC Coordinator / Biodiversity & Planning Campaign Lead Duration: Negotiable (minimum 3-month commitment preferred)

The Research Co-Coordinator strengthens advocacy by leading research efforts that support evidence-based solutions and align with the mission to protect the region's natural areas and promote sustainable alternatives.
DDEC is seeking a passionate and skilled Writer/Communications Editor to create engaging monthly newsletters that share the organisation’s environmental work, community stories, and events. This remote, flexible role (approx. 3–6 hours/month, minimum 6-month commitment) involves writing and editing content, gathering updates from the team.
