Position Title: Fundraising and Grant Writing Volunteer

Location: Toowoomba (Remote or In-Person)

Commitment: 2-4 hours per week

Duration: Minimum 6 months commitment

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to join our fundraising committee. In this role, you will support our efforts to secure funding through grant applications and fundraising initiatives. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to promote climate adaptation and support our initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential grant opportunities from government, corporate, and private foundations.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and supporting documents.
• Assist in planning and organizing fundraising events and campaigns.
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential donors and sponsors.
• Create and distribute fundraising materials, such as brochures, newsletters, and social media content.
• Maintain accurate records of grant applications, donor information, and fundraising activities.
• Track and report on the progress of fundraising efforts and grant applications.
• Participate in fundraising committee meetings and contribute ideas for new fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Attention to detail
• Experience with grant writing or fundraising is an advantage but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for climate adaptation, sustainability, and supporting local government initiatives.
