A Museum Guide/Assistant is required to help visitors experience the history of Townsville at the Townsville Museum. Volunteers at the Museum assist in a variety of ways from front of house reception, warmly greeting visitors to the museum through to interesting behind the scenes duties as well as guiding people through the Museum, educating and connecting visitors to Townsville history and heritage. Museum opening times are weekdays 9.00am to 2.30pm and we are looking for help Wed/Thurs/Fri.

The Beenleigh Historical Village now has vacancies for Demonstrators and Tour Guides to assist with our school/bus tour groups.
Volunteers are required to help existing demonstrators deliver hands on displays to groups of school children touring the Beenleigh Historic village during school hours. The displays takes approximately 30 minutes per group with up to 4 groups with larger schools. Demonstrators are expected to work at least 2 days per week during school weeks.
Guides and Demonstrators are required for Beenleigh Historic Village & Museum to help organise and entertain year 1 & 2 students visiting the village as part of their school curriculum. These very rewarding roles help our young students get an understanding of the way their grandparents were raised and educated. Last year approximately 20,000 school students visited our village and we need your help to make this a truly memorable experience for them.

To ensure that EVERYONE is able to access their local shopping centre, they have launched the Ambassador Program. Ambassadors are a friendly and welcoming hand to people who might have difficulty carrying their groceries, finding their way around, or simply want to have a chat with someone as they do their shopping. This initiative is about creating inclusive communities.
This large hospital has a dedicated team of volunteers providing various interchangeable roles including concierge, visitation, assist with patient discharges and with activities in the rehabilitation program. Volunteers may be required to drive a courtesy buggy (not essential). Shifts are six hours and include free parking and lunch. Volunteers will need to be physically fit, follow directions and be a great communicator.
Prepare small museum for Open Day and assist curators. Job includes sweeping, dusting, general tidy up. If interested, could also attend Open Day on the occasional Sundays to tidy up in preparation for visitors and meet and greet visitors. Also assist with projects as they occur.
