We are seeking Volunteer Drivers to collect food from our supermarket supplier/s for our Neighbourhood Centre. Our Volunteer Drivers are accompanied by one of our Volunteers as a passenger to assist. You will drive to and from assigned supermarket/s; load food into a vehicle and/or trailer, and deliver to our Centre with assistance from other volunteers. You will need a current driver’s license and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle with capacity (or trailer) to transport food.

Use your creativity and artistic skills to assist people to create their own pieces. Resources will be provided, all you need to bring are your ideas and enthusiasm.

Spend time with an elderly person who would like a social visitor at our residential aged care home. You'll love this volunteer opportunity to chat, provide companionship and reduce their sense of isolation. The commitment is for a minimum of one hour per week for 12 months or longer. We are looking for people to drive a 12-seater bus (C-licence) collecting/returning seafarers from vessels in Newcastle Port to the nearby Mission Centre and local shopping complex, as requested, with occasional sightseeing trips. In particular, to cover the Evening shift - Mondays to Sundays, 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm and the Day shift, Saturdays and Sundays, 11 am to 7 pm.

The role will involve the general cleaning of public and office areas. Tasks include, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting and emptying garbage bins. The role includes cleaning bathrooms and toilets as well as mopping floors.
