HammondCare pastoral care volunteers have an opportunity to support the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly people living in an aged care home. As a pastoral care volunteer you’ll be a Christian actively involved with a local church in the area.

We are seeking a friendly face to visit with an elderly resident in care, you will provide companionship and meaningful social interaction for her as you visit fortnightly for a cuppa and a chat.

Sydney Heritage Fleet is a volunteer organisation dedicated to preserving restoring and operating vessels which represent Australia's maritime history. They include James Craig, a fully rigged tall ship, Kanangra a large double-ended Sydney harbour ferry, steamship John Oxley a former Moreton Bay pilot ship, Waratah a steam tug of 1902 vintage, Lady Hopetoun once the fastest steam launch on the harbour, a fine sailing schooner, and several diesel motor launches.

They include Tall Ship James Craig, ferry Kanangra, steamship John Oxley, 1902 steam tug Waratah, 1902 VIP launch Lady Hopetoun, 1903 schooner Boomerang and several diesel motor launches.
Sydney Heritage Fleet owns two large tugs, donated by RAN. They are regularly used for manoeuvring our classic tall sailing ship James Craig, and for movements needed by our other operating vessels which include coal fired steamers Waratah (steam tug, 1902) and Lady Hopetoun (VIP launch 1902), John Oxley (steam pilot ship ex- Moreton Bay (under total restoration and several vintage diesel launches.
We need a tour guide to conduct the many visitors around our historic sailing ship. All ages, male and female. James Craig is world famous restoration of a classic 19th century fully rigged iron barque. It is moored at Wharf 7 Pyrmont Bay next door to Australian National Maritime Museum but is owned by Sydney Heritage Fleet. Our organisation can be called "a happy shed". There are no cliques, no politics, just lots of smiles and a friendly welcome.

From a rusted skeletal hulk in Recherche Bay Tasmania, she has been completely rebuilt by the volunteers at Sydney Heritage Fleet and now makes harbour and ocean voyages for the public often setting all of her 21 sails. Keeping her seaworthy needs constant attention , to paintwork, woodwork, rigging and deck caulking. We need you to join the happy team who carry out this work regularly on the ship.
Our steam tug Waratah built 1902 at Cockatoo Island badly needs help to maintain paintwork by removing and treating rust, then re-painting. Sydney Heritage Fleet is voluntary group dedicated to preserving, restoring and operating vessels representing our Maritime history. The Sydney Heritage Fleet is seeking a volunteer webmaster to take charge of our Maritime Records and Research Centre (MRRC) web presence. Sydney Heritage Fleet is dedicated to preserving Sydney's rich maritime heritage. The MRRC (Maritime Records and Research Centre) is a cornerstone of this mission, housing a wealth of historical records and research materials about Australia’s maritime past.
The Sydney Heritage Fleet Workshops in Rozelle Bay is a busy hive of activity. Our main restoration project is steamer John Oxley, and there are many regularly used vessels on which maintenance is essential. You will find yourself in a very happy friendly work environment where there are no cliques or feuds or jealousies. Just the keen desire to have the joy of having a productive day.
